Looking back on 2010 I realized it was a pretty eventful year much.

The beginning of 2010 was the start of my 2nd semester in the University… As much as I was enjoying university life and hall life, I was starting to feel a little worn out. It didn’t help that as a block comm member I was feeling a lot of resentment, from seniors who didn’t realize what my contributions were and made me feel that I was doing an inadequate job to people who put in much lesser effort but made it seem like they were doing more and to many more politics of hall life which I was exposed to. Weary as I was/am, I still had fun.

(my 21st birthday party)
When I think about the best of 2010 which I had, every single time the images which float in my mind would be the 3 almost consecutive holidays which I had during the Summer break. From Hainan with the parents to Bali with the friends (where I spent my 21st birthday) to BKK with the sister. Not to forget, my 21st birthday party was amidst that busy travelling period too.

(our villa)

(bali)

(my first water rafting exp. super fun!)

(fireworks display by us at the beach directly infront of the villa… can you imagine. super duper cool!)

(in Bali but ironically this was the only day spent at the beach)

(prepping to go for my first parasailing thingie)

(i can get use to such life. seafood everyday. lobster every other day. YUMS)

(LOVEEE! my actual 21st birthday. Courtesy of Pris’s parents)

(fireworks on my birthday by the Jimbaran Bay beach. Seriously it’s so perfect and drama-like I was telling the BBs, the future husband has to match up to this level and beyond when he propose)

(with the BBs and Pris’s mum)
Of the three holidays I had, I must say the Bali experience was the best. Not because of the place but because of the company. Pris’s parents were such hospitable hosts and my BBs were being the most awesome bunch just as they’ve always been. It was the most luxurious holiday ever, living in a mega huge villa, having awesome seafood almost everyday. I conquered my fear of height (well not completely but it’s the first step) but trying out parasailing on my 21st birthday, played with fireworks and had fireworks display + a live band singing for me by the beach (with an awesome seafood spread) on my 21st birthday. Everything was like out of a movie scene! It was most enjoyable!
When the term started again, I was most tired from school and hence I slacked majorly during the sem (hence the shitty results but shant complain cause it was my fault for being a loth). Another BB left SG for Aussie :( and I was back to this anti-social person who doesn’t step out of Pulau KR except during the weekends to go home and sleep…
I have so many things to be thankful for… For family problems which bugged me but eventually seems resolved, for my healthy dog, my family, my friends and also being granted the opportunity to go on exchange the next academic year. I had seriously given up hope on it but suddenly it came knocking on my door. For all these, I believe it’s HIS grace and showers of blessing on the child of his.
Thank you!
May 2011 be just as eventful if not better :)
